Toronto pop singer Dexter Edwards delivers the great pop songs with a pure sound and a rough-edged passion all his own.

Dexter has performed in over 5 different bands as their lead singer. Back in 1985 Dexter joined the band 'The Mantiss'. This was a cover band performing hits of the '70's such as 'Hotel California', 'Ramble On', etc... The band also put together one or two original songs as well.

By 1987, Dexter had joined the band 'Mighty White'. This was a rock band performing songs in the style of 'The Scorpions', 'Dokken', 'Triumph', and 'Whitesnake to name a few. The band performed at Pickering's 'Sub Pub' as well as at Q107's 107 Band Contest at Shangri La - Shannonville Racetrack and at Nag's Head North in North York Ontario.

After a year or so with this band, Dexter left and joined the band 'Undercover'. This band was a '70's and '80's style Rock Band performing cover songs of that era in the style of Journey, Bryan Adams, Loverboy, Toto etc... Undercover played at Pickering's 'Sub Pub' on two occasions, as well as Pickering's 'Joxx' bar(caption) in the time they were together.joxx

In the early '90's, Dexter re-united with 'The Mantiss' this time, the band would have a new moniker 'Without Reason'. The band concentrated on primarliy original blues type music and played at 'Stratengers' Bar,stratengersas well as 'The Purple Onion'(caption) in Oshawa Ontariopurple onionWithout Reason at the Beach.During this time, the band spent some time in the studio recording some original songs.


During the period between 1992 - 2000, Dexter performed at Karaoke shows across Ontario. He has won many awards for his stellar performances.

In 2000, Dexter joined the band 'Cerafim'( This band concentrated on producing a 5 song original album entitled 'Revelation'. One of the songs on the album is 'Desert of My Heart' and is featured below:

After leaving Cerafim, Dexter joined the band 'Soul Solution'. An R&B band performing music in the style of 'Stevie Wonder', 'Marvin Gaye', 'KC and the Sunshine Band' and more. This band performed at several venues including 'London Pub'(caption) in Richmond Hill, as well as 'Archibald's and some other private gigs as well.
